Is our educational system encouraging our children to think?

WIPRO, in an effort to contemporize the education system and to Expand Possibilities for our children has initiated the project 'Wipro Applying Thought in Schools' (WATIS). The project aims to inculcate thinking and questioning abilities in our children so that they can be life long learners and look beyond the obvious. Wipro works towards bringing about a qualitative change in the way learning takes place in the formative years of our children.

In order to do this, Wipro partners with different experts in the field of education to bring together the best teaching practices across the country to each of the schools.

EZ Vidya is a chosen partner of WIPRO and the role of EZ Vidya is to put into practice the ‘Teacher Empowerment programme’ (TEP). In this teacher training module, the intention is to transform the teacher into a ‘reflective practitioner’ who is herself a thinker and learner, and one who uses newer and better pedagogical techniques. This is done through workshops and extensive school based support. EZ Vidya is in the mission of transforming the 'content heavy curriculum' to 'ability enhancing classrooms'.

Over 40 premier schools have partnered EZ Vidya in this programme and EZ Vidya has trained over 1000 teachers, clocking over 50,000 training hours. This is one of the most sought after training programmes in the country owing to its effectiveness.

Some of the other training programmes of EZ Vidya are

Teach the EZ Way - A series of four ‘must know’ training modules followed by Extended Support Programme (ESP) for the teachers to discover, redefine, and implement effective teaching strategies in the classroom.

Primary Prism – A four workshop series to empower teachers of primary sections, sensitizing them towards understanding and catering to the needs of young learners. The most exciting part of this programme is that the teachers themselves become kindergarten students and have fun with the facilitator.

Composite workshops – Specialized workshop series focusing on a single concept like ‘Multiple Intelligence’ or ‘Thinking skills’ to achieve deep understanding and application effectiveness. This workshop has an integrated design of conducting a baseline, midline and endline assessment to measure the effectiveness of the programme.

Professional Enrichment Programme (PEP)

Transforming today’s aspiring students to tomorrow’s inspiring teachers.

In corporate parlance this can be dubbed as ‘backward integration’. At EZ Vidya we aspire to integrate the skills, knowledge and above all the passion in young, soon to be teachers, so as to bring out their best. EZ Vidya partners with various B.Ed colleges and offers tailor made training programmes for young, aspiring individuals to embark on the noble journey of teaching. This programme can be aptly called the blossoming phase of a teacher in her mission of 'Let the child blossom'.
